The International Forum on Sustainability Science (IFSS) has become a premier platform for multi-sectoral convergence on food systems transformation in the Philippines. With successful iterations in 2023 and 2024 focusing on multisectoral collaboration and sustainability, it provided a crucial platform for advancing discourse and action on food systems transformation in the Philippines. Building on the momentum of its first two forums—centered on multisectoral collaboration (2023) and accelerating food system transformation through education, entrepreneurship, and policy (2024), IFSS 2025 emerges at a critical time where deepened, inclusive, and systemic responses to a brittle, anxious, non-linear, and incomprehensible (BANI) world are urgently needed. IFSS 2025 deepens the conversation by embracing circularity, renewability, and regeneration as critical paradigms for the future of food systems.

This year’s theme, "Circularity, Renewability, and Regenerative Futures for Food Systems," signals a call to action to reimagine how we produce, distribute, consume, and govern food. We center systems that regenerate soil, water, ecosystems, and culture -- where nothing is wasted, and everything serves a continuous cycle of renewal. We draw from indigenous practices, scientific research, data technologies, community innovations, and youth-led actions to build food systems that are inclusive, restorative, and future-ready.
